Can you answer maria’s question about Adoption?:

Where should I look to get started? What kind of qualifications do you need to have? Any other advice, experiences, etc would be appreciated also.

Adoption Feedback: You have to be at least 21 years old, pass a medical appraisal, and obtain an “Act 33 Clearance” (basically no founded incidents of child abuse allegation in the past 5 years, not a criminal, etc.) The main qualifications are PATIENCE, and LOVE. You must have adequate living space (an actual mattress and bedding for the child, if over 5 years may not share a bedroom with opposite sex), running water, etc.
