Wounded by the recent death of her husband, Dr. Belinda Simpson (Sarah Jones) arrives in the tiny town of Sikeston to take up the post of town physician. Once there, she discovers that many of the towns residents, including children at an orphanage run by Miss Hattie Clarence (Cloris Leachman), have fallen ill to or died from an unknown ailment. Soon, Belinda begins to worry that she is in over her head, despite reassurances from her best friend, Annie (Haylie Duff), and the town’s blacksmith, Lee (Jordan Bridges). Unfortunately, the residents of Sikeston arent as trusting of Belindas abilities as a doctor mainly because shes a woman. As well, many of them dont even want her to help the orphans, who they blame for infecting the rest of the town. Indeed, they would be happy to see the orphanage close altogether. Opposed by what seems like the entire town, Belinda must trust in her abilities, her friends and her faith to guide her ***i do not own any copyrights, hallmark Channel does*** this video is for entertainment only.
I saw Marissa as Annie in November of 2005 or 2006
I remember seeing this as a kid!!! That’s when I fell in LOVE with the show Annie!! (:

@TheBookWorm27 I agree, she was an incredible Annie> Quadruple threat entertaining actress, strong voice, brilliant dancer and looks like she has a real sassy personality. I think it was obvious that she was going to be Annie when they made her the understudy at the end of the previous year.
@bilykopeki123 no, that’s brittany portman who was in the 2005 – 2006 annie tour. you’re probably thinking of gabi carruba who was kate in the 2006 – 2007 tour of annie

This play is amazing considering half the major characters are kids, and really young kids at that! It blows my mind every time I watch it.
@orphanmania …. im wrong she was in it when marrissa odonnell was in it . she was her understudy as well, she had to play annie in madison square garden
@TheBookWorm27 I agree with you. She is one of my favorite actresses and I follow her career. I also love Taylor Bright who is in this too.

@nicolerox4466 The little girl playing Molly in this clip is a professional child actress called Amanda Balon. She took over as Annie and she stayed on with the broadway tour for many years. She also played a Spanish girl in a movie made for schools. She is a dancer and does other plays. If you search her name on utube or google (is what I did) you might see where you know her from. I agree with you that she is a great actress. I love her voice. Hope this helps. Thanks for posting.

I watched her play as Molly in 2008 in Atlanta, and she really made me go “WOW!”
Melissa (haha, my name too. Maybe I’ll be in Broadway some day…) was very impressive too.
I LOVED watching both of them play their characters.
I rilly luv Amanda Balon. She is Molly in this but I saw her play “Annie” 2 times and she was so great . I wish I could be her or meet her.

this really is a bad wig you can definitely tell she is wearing one and what happened to the old belinda i mean this one isn’t bad but you cant just go from dark hair to blond hair just like that.

i know belinda is a good doctor and a good person, but she really doesn’t have a very good bed-side manner, yelling at that poor old lady earlier, and then just walking away from the dead guy? have a heart!
