Volunteer at Christ Outreach Orphanage in Ghana

Provide shelter, education, food, clothing and basic education to children in the Swedru Area. Their goal is to ensure that all children have to chance to a happy and healthy upbringing. Christ Outreach Orphanage is in desperate need of volunteers. Currently there are 57 children who are registered with the orphanage and only two full-time workers. Although they have a few community volunteers that come to assist they are definately short staffed. Volunteers can assist by doing the folllowing tasks: Volunteers will be needed to help wash, feed and care for the children. There is also a small school set up at the orphange where volunteers can teach various subjects and implement educational games

 Other tasks that you may be requested to preform outside of your core duties: Volunteers are needed to help create a cirriculium for the teachers at Volunteers with the following specific skills are preferred for this placement: Standard First-Aid Health & Hygiene Training Child & Youth Worker At-Risk Youth Work Leadership Programming Recreational Programming Social Worker (BSW) Grant Proposals / Fundraising Program Proposal Writting Social Work Student Day Care Work Teacher – English Teacher – Math Teacher – Science Teacher – Geography Teacher – Environmental Science Handicraft Design Soccer Educational Games Drums Teacher – Social Science Teacher – History
