Volunteer for Missionary for Charity Which Serves as Orphanage and Home Care in Ghana

Orphanage/homecare for those afflicted by poverty, abandonment, and physical or mental illness. Houses 40 beds for children, 35 for adults. This orphanage/home is run by Catholic missionaries. They serve children, adults (usually elderly) found on streets, abandoned and affected by poverty or physical or mental handicaps. Missionaries of Charity is an orphange/homecare facility that ensure that over 40 children and 35 adults are given a safe and comfortable place to live. Volunteers are needed to help enrich the lives of those individuals who live in the home by assisting with daily operational tasks because currently they are really under-staffed.

Volunteers can assist by doing following tasks:-

 Volunteers are needed to assist in daily tasks such as helping feed, bath and care for the children. Volunteers will also be needed to help teach the children various things such as reading, writing and educational games. Volunteers will be able to help design and implement various recreational programs, educational games depending upon interest of the volunteer and residents of the home.

Volunteers must be of age 18 or above with minimum education of high school. Volunteers with the following special skills are preferred for the placement:-

 Child & Youth Worker Early Childhood Education At-Risk Youth Work Leadership Programming Recreational Programming Social Work Student Day Care Work Teacher – English Teacher – Math Teacher – Environmental Science Handicraft Design Soccer Educational Games Guitar Piano Drums Other Musical Instruments
