I’ve noticed this “trend”, particularly among devout, very religious christians. Why is this, what is involved with an adoption in general, and what is the advantage of adopting a child from abroad?

Adoption Feedback: Perhaps they see themselves as doing something toward saving the poor and downtrodden from oppression. Or maybe these unusual looking kids are a fashion accessory . Generally it is better to leave the kids in their own society and help by sponsorship or other ways to ensure they receive education. It is through education of the children that a better society in these countries will come about ,not by removing a child here and there and putting him/her in a western country.
