Cross Cultural Adoption: How To Answer Questions from Family, Friends & Community

This book was very helpful & help answer many questions for us.

I am adopting from Korea and I read this book and was really disappointed. I hope I can return it or find someone to give it to.
Chapter: Why are there so many little girls, and not as many boys. This is not true for Korea; there are many more boys avaiable for adoption.
Chapter: Where was she before she was adopted? In the book they mention that babies lived in an orphanage. Also not true for Korea because all babies are raised in foster homes, not orphanages.

Great book to give to family and friends. We got one for each side of the family. It talks about adults can answer questions from strangers. It also gives some good responses to questions for kids in the family.

I don’t think this book adds anything new to what an adoptive parent has considered in adopting a child of another race or culture. However it is a quick and easy read for friends and family who haven’t given the issues as much thought as we have.
