I was scanning reviews of adoption related books for my 3 yo, when I came across this title. Another reviewer said it is identical to a differently entitled story by the same author. I ordered this one instead of the other, and now I have a book about biologically-related mother and child. I will have to return it as my child was not born through me, but through his birthmom. Shame on the other reviewer that said it was the same as this. It is not!

This is a very sweet story about a mother sharing with her child how he was her “wish come true” because she had hoped and wished and dreamed of having a baby then one day there he was! It is a perfect story to fill your child with the love you have always felt for him! Highly recommend this book.

The illustrations are incredible! The content kinda goes astray, hence the 4 stars. But the story is wonderful. Being a 40 year old first time Mom, in a time where many women are having difficulty having babies, this book speaks to my heart!

I remember reading this book to a little boy I used to babysit. When I had my own daughter, I knew I had to find it to read to her. Of course, as she’s only 1, it means a whole lot more to me! It doesn’t explicitly discuss adoption, but of course, it can be used to describe it. I look forward to reading it to my daughter as she grows older. It is the sweetest book!
