moving moment for all of us when we visited the Kebebe Government Children’s Orphanage. The rooms that held the children had a thick, smell in the air of urine and feces. Some of the pics are difficult to see. All of these children are waiting to be adopted. There were only 2 caretakers for all of these kids. … When we asked for the name of one of the little girls in the picture, the caretakers couldn’t find it. I have this on my video that is coming soon. A tough day for all of us.

We adopted a beautiful 9-month old baby girl from Ethiopia. We went through Le Toukoul Orphanage in Addis Ababa and Dove Adoptions International. This slideshow-video documents our journey to get Josanna (her birth name is Mihret). We stayed at the YGF private hotel (guest house), which we highly recommend. The whole trip was a great experience.

READ THE STORYLINE!!! Storyline: Jane is an orphan and she lives in an orphanage owned by a terrible woman who doesn’t like her. One night a vehicle pulls up and a young girl, Melody, arrives with a general from England where there is a war going on. Melody is roomed with Jane, and they click instantly when Jane invited Melody to sneak out with her to go swimming down by the beach. While swimming Melody comes across something shimmering in the water, a locket, and when they get back to the orphanage she opens it up and discovers Atlantic. The next day the two girls are at the beach spot again and Melody brings up the locket. Jane is tired of Melody always talking about running away and becoming a mermaid, and so agrees with her to shut her up. That night Melody tells Jane they should leave the orphanage and find the sea witch who could turn them into mermaids so they can be free. Jane is fed up with Melody and says no. Melody gets angry and asks why. Jane tells her there is no such thing, and they begin to fight. Melody however believes in it and runs away. She finds the sea witch who can turn her into a mermaid, but she has to sign a contract. She does, and magically transforms from human to mermaid. ENDING: Melody swims to the beach where she sees Jane and thinks about telling her about the sea witch, but she remembers the fight they had and decides Jane wouldn’t want to; she didn’t believe. Jane, however, sees Melody swim off and is sad that Melody wouldn’t say goodbye …
