Hello, Marissa! I have heard in the news that you had received Darwin’s Prize! The ceremonial will be somewhere on the streets of Port-au-Prince. I don’t know the exact location, but after you walk there for several hours (without a gun and bulletproof vest), you will certainly find it.
I think this is fantastic that this family is willing to step up and help. For those of you being so ignorant and hateful…I only hope you can experience the beauty of loving someone for who they are regarless of skin color. May you never feel the hate you put out on the world.
When that kid grows up, it will find more blacks because he will realize how out of place his skin color is, surrounded by whites. It even happens to mixed kids and then they start becoming gangsta.. They might get a few good elementary school years out of him but once he starts asking questions about the facts of his ethnicity, he will want to fit the roll.

I think it is great that this family is expanding their family through adoption and it is their business and only theirs if they choose to adopt from Haiti or anywhere else. It is unbelievable to me that it is 2010 and there are still people who are so racist and hateful.
