February 24, 2007 was the day we met our three children in Ethiopia. Due to US Visa complications, we were unable to bring our daughter home at that time. We brought our two sons home first. Two months later when our daughter’s Visa was approved, Russ returned to Ethiopia, to bring her home. In celebration we have created this slideshow. Postscript: Following the creation of this slideshow, we completed the adoption of another daughter, whom we met and fell in love with on the same day, February 24, 2007 at our daughter’s orphanage. We returned to Ethiopia and brought her home on August 10, 2008. Music: “And Now My Lifesong Sings” by Casting Crowns (www.castingcrowns.com), a band that daily rocks our kitchen and inspires us. www.onethankfulmom.com

stefanj11 is only for Christmas not for life! Moron. This is supposed to support the cause. There are a lot of cruel people out there.

  27. SoULja51NGH on May 21st, 2010 5:11 pm

this really touched my heart! the poor dog was eating glass omg really why should anyone think they have the right to leave a dog on its own? it really makes me wanna cry

  28. DeDiCa7ioN on May 21st, 2010 5:26 pm

@stefanj11 your probably the retard who disliked the vid… by the way you love your cat way more than it loves you… you look for attention from your cat… your cat only loves you for food… it’s a fact, grow up you 27 year old fool.

  29. DeDiCa7ioN on May 21st, 2010 5:49 pm

aww my little dog looks alot like this incredible dog..it’s funny because i found my dog on street she was skinny, barely any fur it truely is the most upsetting thing to see really. It makes you sick to think people leave thier dogs like this..

  30. queen6of6sin6 on May 21st, 2010 6:25 pm

So so true – and such a well-done video! This dog is a great actor; he deserves an award for this! This should be shared on every social network out there – talk about INFECT TRUTH!

  31. queen6of6sin6 on May 21st, 2010 7:04 pm

How true, and such a well-done video! This needs to be shared on every social network out there – talk about INFECT TRUTH! Fuck nicotine – promote anti-animal abuse and mistreatment! That’s the real problem in society today!

  32. SerasSempai on May 21st, 2010 7:59 pm

People which are so cruel and abandon their friends like that should die…really…I hate unresponsible people whithout feelings. For them abandon a dog is not a big deal…it’s so sad.I wish that maybe someday everything will be different.

  33. stefanj11 on May 21st, 2010 8:04 pm

    Embed it on your pages!

  36. ShakespeareOfBorg on May 21st, 2010 10:15 pm

It’s heart-breaking that people could just abandon dogs like this. Every dog deserves a loving home.

  37. myotis59 on May 21st, 2010 11:09 pm

I couldn’t bear to watch this but know how many animals suffer from cruelty at the hand of humans. We should be ashamed of ourselves for the way we treat non-human sentient beings.

  38. Bettyboop10377 on May 21st, 2010 11:29 pm

keep up the good work, wearefordogs, god bless you all, ive added everyone for this video, every little helps to make a BIG difference for all the little lost souls out there that need our help xxxxxxx

  39. mbenson2790 on May 22nd, 2010 12:02 am

@dynastygal when i said peta freak i was talking about acual peta members. ALSO, i recieved no “truth” from anyone. all i am doing as is asking questions. the only statistic i can find is that about 100,000 dogs are left stranded, but i can’t find anything on the number that are left tied up. thats all i want to find out.

  40. dynastygal on May 22nd, 2010 12:32 am

    @mbenson2790

Err, maybe you should actually volunteer your services at a rescue centre, then you’ll see it’s utter bollocks that it’s just ‘1 or 2 dogs’.

And why does anyone who realises the truth about what goes on be called a ‘peta freak’ by you? PETA aren’t even big in the UK.

  41. ScreamingLadySutch on May 22nd, 2010 12:37 am

This film is heartbreaking. Especially when he starts crying. :(

  42. ScreamingLadySutch on May 22nd, 2010 1:30 am

Come people! We want to see what happens next!

  43. jmhlegend on May 22nd, 2010 2:27 am

Why cant people take their unwanted Dogs to local rescue centers is beyond me!

Should be severe sentences for the sick people responsible!

I have rescued a dog that was put through hell and would die for her!

  44. shawadawada on May 22nd, 2010 3:12 am

I have just had a cocker spaniel puppy from a breeder as I live at home, but I want to have another when i get married in a few years time and this has confirmed Im going down the rescue root as I am getting into agility as well and it gives these poor animals a new lease of life! x

  45. wearefordogs on May 22nd, 2010 3:39 am

It’s so good to see all of your supportive comments. Please keep sharing this video to spread the word about the plight of abandoned dogs. We’ve nearly reached our 25,000 views target that will reveal the next episode of Charlie’s story! With your help we can make a real difference in the lives of so many dogs. Thank you!

Well done tripper I hope your enjoying your new house with H. Made me really sad when I heard you cryin. Can’t wait to see your next episode.

  49. mbenson2790 on May 22nd, 2010 5:09 am

@cdkreturns when did i say that there arn’t laws against it? all im saying is it barley ever happens. why do all of you peta freaks respond to simple criticism with an insult? how about the number of dogs that peta puts to sleep each year. i think that should be a commercial insted… you are right about being uneducated, the dog deserves better website won’t educate me how many dogs are left like that each year, probably is like 2

  50. BoyToob on May 22nd, 2010 5:46 am

I took in an abandon dog, named him Charlie too…so loving and happy he is…me too!
