While the venus project idea is interesting in making a “Star Trek Next Generation” society, it heavily relies on technology and resources. Actually it is based on a “resource based economy”. It claims, that by creating more and more technology, society is hoped to change as a consequence. That may or may not be true – in any case it requires an increased use of technology and resources which is unsustainable. Besides, the role of wild nature is not mentioned in this at all.

i have two words for you …Jacques Fresco…check out what he has to say, please…you can find him by googling “the venus project”…there is more than enough to go around…you are a very sweet girl

Good description of the viscious cycle of population. The problem is, that humans are inventive enough to find always new ways to produce more food, driven by the perceived need to do so conveyed by pictures of starving babies. The next step is skyscraper farming – basically producing food just by putting in energy (e.g. nuclear). This laughably is presented as a “green solution”. I’m not going to have any babies ever, sadly adoption is hard, I would do that. I like your goals – got similar ones

you look like Ali Larter here

  6. AnthonyDWood on September 12th, 2010 9:36 pm

Wow you’re such a keeper :) I’ll give you a little help in the direction of being self sufficient.. “Overunity Generator” google it. Even when the oil is gone there will be a way to travel. ;) . I can tell you now we’d get along great. I like being around intellectuals like yourself. We are the people that give the world a renaissance every few generations. So if you are up for it lets stop talking about it and start making a change.

@Nedargiordano can you provide the title of the documentary?

  8. Joeey on September 12th, 2010 10:27 pm

you need to get some skills to work. this could be at a professional level or as a laborer. the face metal indicates hourly wage laborer. good luck rethinking reality.

  9. Joeey on September 12th, 2010 10:48 pm

need to get some new knowledge about losing the nosering

You are great and so orginally real… People, you should really listen to her and be stong enough to make fun of yourself and the bad decisions we made in going to business school or whatever else was just another waiting room to keep you controlled while they make money from you once again… I wasted my time and money on a Psychology degree and I gave good advice before they handed me my receipt for that. I’m angry and It truly was a scam. I love your videos and I have your back…Thank you

There is a group of people that in the 60’s wanted to get away and they got together and bought about like 50 to 100 acres. They made the land free to anyone who wanted to live in a free world and they slowly created a community and raised their kids their and it was so cool but they did bump into a few problems but after all these years the kids from these families all still own the land and some of them still live there. It’s actually in a documentary that really shows you that you can do it.

I’m going back to school right now, so I can get a job that will enable me to AFFORD land.

Hope you made it out to BC and found a farm. Great ideas. I’m totally with you on all points. There are lots of opportunities on organic farms out here…

“what a waste of money”…so money is important haha

You can use your business degree for good, you know.
What if you could create a business that was based on your beliefs and experiences and that offered an alternative, supported what you valued?

As far as the adopting children goes, “everyone’s favourite word is their own name”.

Its all about population This is the common denominator. If there is no Change We are on a Doomsday road the Malthus theory

  16. CheetoYesenia on September 13th, 2010 12:59 am

Dont worry oil is not going to be here forever but i like your idea. Can you maybe help me out about how i can do that myself? I like how you think i have thought about a lot of things that you have discussed about. I have planned about adopting children also but not have kids of my own. Good luck with everything really. There are not that many young people that think like you do and thats good that you do. A lot of people and young adults only think about parties and drugs and tv etc. good 4 u

No matter what you do, as long as you work for a company, that is slavery for money. If you will be able to beat the top in a company (which is unlikely happen to achieve normal ways) Then you can work less and earn more and increase your life standarts. Then you will have to endure the truth that people on earth are dying from starvation and low health care. In the end, your happiness will be based on how shallow your personality is.

And the worst thing is that you know I’m not pessimist.

  19. JoseVieira94 on September 13th, 2010 1:53 am

I think you are a very cool girl, very open-minded. These days is hard to find a person like you. I also think i wasn’t born to do a fucking office job, waiting for routine, I would love to travell around and leave the cities.
If you ever need help at your future farm, give me a call. By the way, I’ve been watching your videos, lately. And I love them, because i see so much in you like me.
    Keep sending videos.

The power of the consumer is a lot greater than the average person thinks it is. The strengh is in numbers. If people stop eating meat: theres no more hunger in the world (as producing meat is far more costly than feeding all hungry in the world for free). The consumer has total power to redistribute wealth in the world but people make the wrong choices due to propaganda, missinformation and lack of education, capacity to think freely.

  24. masterdurchgriff on September 13th, 2010 4:36 am

    @millar5001
O so very true! Compare our quality of life with that one of the same person in the same location 500years ago and the only evolution or added value to the quality of his life is in the progress of medical care. F.e; people aren’t wiser; what they gained in knolledge by contemporary education does not compensate the loss in wisdom people had (fe herbal pharmacopea and remedies, general know how to survive,.) tv’s, cars and all materialistic illusions do not make your life any better

  25. millar5001 on September 13th, 2010 5:28 am

@masterdurchgriff I agree but I cant help but feel that the greed of the consumer is the result of us getting constantly bombarded by advertising 24/7 trying to sell us supposedly life enhancing material things that we never knew we needed.
