I was shocked when I ran across this video and immediately recognized the lady holding your baby. We adopted from the same transition home in in 2009. I was even more surprised when I saw the blue denim jacket with the pink buttons. This was the same jacket our son(yes, son) had his picture taken in before we were able to get him. Wow it brings back the memories! What a great experience

I haven’t seen a country yet where children are not taken advantage of in some way. Each of us can make a difference, one step at a time.

  3. vanillapie on May 21st, 2010 6:30 pm

Is there child trafficking in Ethiopia?

  4. Kachavite on May 21st, 2010 7:11 pm

The apartheid regime in Ethiopia had sold over 3000 Ethiopian children in the name of adoption in 2009. Each child was sold for $30,000, and background check was not required on the would-be buyers. Many of the children wound up in the hands of child molesters in the West.

Recently, authorities in Salt Lake City, Utah have arrested the founder of an Ethiopian orphanage, Lon Harvey Kennard, on child molestation charges for molesting the 6 children he had purchased from the regime in Ethiopia.

  9. imhotep1 on May 21st, 2010 9:11 pm

That was beautiful how you adopted two children. I think that is really great with international adoptions, so the children have a sibling who can relate. Your daughter is really your daughter. She bonded with you immediately. This is beautiful!

  12. 00207290 on May 21st, 2010 11:20 pm

What a beautiful family. I’ve always been interested in international adoption and your happy family is truly an inspiring story for me to continue till the day I’m able to adopt.

  13. Brooke684 on May 21st, 2010 11:35 pm

I’ve been watching these adoption videos, and I want to start the process right now! Your family is beautiful, and it makes me want it, all the more. I want two biological kids (not that it really matters) and two adopted kids, but I just don’t know how to do it.

Is there any way you could explain, through a personal letter, how this is done? I would so love to know, and how much it costs. I would hope that there is zero cost much because there are so many children who need adopted …

  14. Brooke684 on May 22nd, 2010 12:18 am

May I ask how you are adopting, how much money does it cost, and how easy or difficult is it? I would really like to know the answers to these questions because I know that I will adopt, one day, I just don’t know when, how, from where, or who …

I would love an easy adoption, little to no expense (other than the travel, food, ect.) since there are “tons” of children to adopt, as I’ve heard, but I don’t know where to start. I love children, and can’tn see my life without them.

  23. pomie23 on May 22nd, 2010 3:53 am

we are beginning the process of adopting from africa. we have two boys already but have felt for many years to adopt. i struggle though with the pain of knowing that we cant take all the children home with us. i just want to rescue them all. but i guess there is only one that can rescue them all, and maybe through Jesus, we can be an instrument in His hand to rescue one and make her our own and raise her in the ways of the Lord.
    thankyou for your video

  24. strongerthanever23 on May 22nd, 2010 4:00 am

  26. dignan1000 on May 22nd, 2010 5:19 am

This is an amazing commercial, poignant. Everyone deserves a chance at life, period. And no one should have the right to take that away. Great commercial.

  27. AnbuSoldier87 on May 22nd, 2010 5:28 am

I’m adopted and I love this clip. I don’t like it however, when people call others murderers for having an abortion or just supporting it. I don’t know what should happen legally, but I think everyone should try and save as much life as possible. There is so much potential out there, more than anyone will ever know =P

  28. BR00k4l1C10U5 on May 22nd, 2010 6:21 am

    AWESOME IDEA.

  29. stephenjackson1 on May 22nd, 2010 7:14 am

No but they should blame them they are responsible for their decisions to kill what is theirs, But I do feel sorry for those young ones coursed into it by parents or boyfriends though…

  30. stephenjackson1 on May 22nd, 2010 7:51 am

I hope you feel allot better about yourself and your hideous rationalizations for Abortion by admitting this ad is true and beautiful. You “definitely” support slaying live unborn children in the most gruesome of ways, good for you. But just how can you justify this horrifying practice, especially in later trimesters as it is so often done, when ADOPTION is such a clear and obvious morally acceptable alternative. Wake up about your erroneous liberal femi-nazi beliefs and get on the right path!

  31. stephenjackson1 on May 22nd, 2010 8:14 am

Amazing video, very powerful, keep it up. this is really helping to wake people up. So many families are waiting to adopt a child and would love to have one yet our society throws the lives away, I don’t know how anyone can defend that practice of destruction.

  32. Gowalum on May 22nd, 2010 8:58 am

what an? amazing video is right!!

  33. flip07in on May 22nd, 2010 9:40 am

  34. liferocks1973 on May 22nd, 2010 10:12 am

this video rocks. keep it up :)

  35. xukeith33 on May 22nd, 2010 11:08 am

I agree with you. Any ads that “blame” lose the point. Just point out truth with love and hopefully love speaks to people’s hearts.
Do you know of any ads that “blame women or girls”?
I do not. I do not know of any pro life organizations either but I am sue their are some people that are angry and hurt people. sadly on both sides.

  36. AboveAllNations on May 22nd, 2010 11:51 am

I’m definitely pro-choice, but I really respect and appreciate this ad. It makes a strong point without blaming the women and girls who have to make such a difficult decision.

I hope the one with Tim Tebow this Sunday will be just as tasteful.

  37. xukeith33 on May 22nd, 2010 11:57 am

What an awesome and creative ad wrapped in truth and love. Choose Life. It has so much potential! I love it!

  38. aplussstudent3 on May 22nd, 2010 12:29 pm

    @chesirecat591

It’s by Daniel Schreck, album is “Oconologia”, song, “Close your eyes”

  42. chesirecat591 on May 22nd, 2010 1:07 pm

    what song is this?

  43. anticlimatic21 on May 22nd, 2010 2:00 pm

    Yes, sorry.

  44. SkateRHCP on May 22nd, 2010 2:31 pm

? i think you might have meant to reply to venthesen? maybe?

  45. anticlimatic21 on May 22nd, 2010 3:21 pm

@SkateRHCP You are aware that babies turn into adult humans right? And that germs do not? Just checking.

  46. 7SonsofFeanor on May 22nd, 2010 3:37 pm

    @venthesen
Cells are alive, yes, but your own cells are not separate beings, no. You, however, are a separate being from me. Killing you would be a vastly different thing from killing some of your cells, for instance.

The point of reproduction is that it results in a separate being, distinct from the parent(s) that spawned it. Somatic cells and gametes are part of you…they’re *your* cells. A baby is not…it has its own cells and placenta :)

  47. alabriga1966 on May 22nd, 2010 4:35 pm

    Amazing!

  48. SkateRHCP on May 22nd, 2010 4:47 pm

so if your saying killing a human cell is the same as human murder?

  49. venthesen on May 22nd, 2010 5:09 pm

well we cant argure the full human saving, cuz our beliefs differ on that, and i’m vegetarian btw. U said a comment abuot the murder of an innocent being unexcusable, human cells & human sperms r alive, and they r murdered. that was my point, hope it is now clear

  50. SkateRHCP on May 22nd, 2010 5:41 pm

??? I don’t see your point, yes they are alive, I agree, but so are plants and animals which people eat, that does not matter, I’m not trying to protect cells or sperm or plants, only the full humans
