It’s better to write a letter. Fortunately, it seems this phone call turned out okay.
But really, it is a whole lot better, if adoptees can send a letter first. This way, the person on the receiving-end of the phone call, isn’t put on the spot and sent in to total SHOCK…
Plus, what if other family members were in the room, that didn’t know about a child put up for adoption, many, many years earlier.
Again, send a letter if possible (first)
this goes to show that miricels do happen one love

I finally got around to making a profile here just so I could reply to you. I am a birthmom, open adoption so my son will never have to wonder where I am or if I want him in my life. Nonetheless, I loved your lucky boy videos

hey!! congrats on the reunion. How is it doing? how are YOU doing? just wanted to say hi, and good job on keeping it real.
Congratulations man! I recently met my birth family for the first time (I am currently 21) and it was one of the most amazing moments of my life. I hope you keep this video forever and look back on it when you need to. Thank you for posting this video for all the adoptees and families out there that are struggling in their own discoveries. Take care and thank you!
My wife and I are the parents of two lovely adopted girls who are now adults. They both have recently begun the search for their birth mothers. As parents we have been struggling with the emotions surrounding our daughters’ search for and possible reunion with their birth mothers. Seeing your video has given us a deeper insight into what our adopted children must be feeling. Thank you Alex for producing this video which has helped us see things more clearly. We hope all turns out well for you.
Alex not only found his birth parents, he found his birth family. We have waited 21 years for him to find us, hoping he wanted to. Not a day went by where we did not pray and hope he was having a wonderful life. And by the love of Amy and Steve and his sisters, he did just that. He has turned into an amazing man. I am soooo happy he chose to look for his birth mother. I am so glad that he took the chance. We are living part 3 now!
Aunt Mary (birth fathers sister)
