Psychiatry Drugs Foster Care Children – Joshua I took my video camera to a Foster Care Alumni meeting and asked seven foster kids to tell me about there experiences in Child Protective Services while wards of the state. One thing they all had in common was massive over drugging with psychiatric drugs. Child placement agencies, foster parents, RTCs (Residential Treatment Centers) and Therapeutic Foster Homes get paid a certain amount of money each day for taking care of a foster child. The amount of money they get paid depends on a level of care system. The more difficult the child or the more problems that child has, the more money you get. A child at the basic level of care is worth about 17 dollars a day where as a child in the highest level of care could be worth as much as a 1000 dollars a day. This puts the incentive on diagnosing children with behavior problems to justify raising their level of care. A child on psychiatric drugs is worth more than a child without problems. It is not uncommon for a foster child to be placed on many different psychotropic drugs at the same time. Some investigations have found children on as many as 13 mind altering drugs prescribed by a psychiatrists at one time. These drugs include all categories of psychiatric drugs; antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anxiety medications, anticonvulsants medications, etc. The SSRI drugs are commons such as Paxil, Zoloft, Prozac, etc. Also a number of these children described taking

I have chills right now… I have several friends, that are either currently in, or have been in foster care… I know, that at least one of them is currently using Riddlin (sp). The majority of them are in the special needs class… Are they going through this? What can I do to help them if they are? And thank you Joshua for speaking about your experiences.

or Cheilev ?????? in Judaism is the animal fat which was consumed on the mizbe’ah (altar) as for the korban ritual, & is therefore forbidden to be eaten by humans. Whereas Shuman are called those fats which were not offered, & therefore kosher for human consumption.
The punishment for eating chelev bemeizid (on purpose) is kares. The atonement for eating it by mistake is to bring a Korban Hattath (atonement sacrifice).

Thank you Psychetruth for posting these videos…people need to know what REALLY happens to kids in the system. Thank you Joshua and all the others for having the GUTS to speak out…know this, that telling your story is the ONLY way others will KNOW your story. It also helps to deal with old wounds. Best wishes to you. Your courage to talk about something that alot of us have gone thru before you and unfortunately continues, has brought tears to my eyes.

I know how that is Joshua. I was in foster care for 8 years as soon as I signed myself out. I had no insurance so I could not take meds. I am bipolar and have ADHD but I’ve learned to calm my self.
I was in 3 RTC’s they also put me in a boot camp and hospitals.
No one believed me about the abuse either no one wants to here the bad but it can get very Hellish.

But we have to keep the pharmacuetical companies in business, we have to eat junk, we have to obey the goverments word, we are clones, zombies, created to put money in someones pocket, we must obey, we cannot resist… story after story of children being druged in care, its soooo sickening, repeat after me, “I am not a zombie, I will not comply”….”I will eat healthy foods, study yoga ,take no pills or destroy families where kids are subjected to the whims of strangers”

So the moral of this question i’m trying to get at. Is working this game into the child’s favor. Can you work the system to where the Foster Family gets paid by the State to nuture this child back to good health, weening off all the meds slowly, and with help from
a *REAL* Nature Doc. To use this money for good by the State, instead of using it to pay for more destructive drugs that are destroying our kids lives!!!

By weening off the drugs slowly, and staying completely off the normal American Diet, whatever that may be. High sugar, fats, high carb diets is a normal American Diet which is not the healthiest one of all.
I would suggest seeing a Naturopathic Doctor at this point for a strict diet.

Would the Foster Family benefit greatly by the income from the State by transforming the child back to good health?

I wonder if a Foster Family was smart enough with a greatly educated mind could take in a child who requires all of this medication to be paid greatly by Child Protective Services or the Child Placement Agency to have this child or these childrens’ affects of the drugs to be reversed slowly, if the damage hasn’t already been done.

I can tell you from my personal experience that zyprexa caused my diabetes. Before I took zyprexa, my health was perfect as documented by a thorough physical just prior to taking zypexa. I was presribed zyprexa “off-label” for OCD. I’m not against big pharma, prescription drugs or prescribing off-label, but Lilly shouuld be held accountable for this Off Label Promotion of this atypical antipsychotic.
