Pretty soon gays will be jumping up and down for joy when the gay judge in California declares Prop 8 Unconstitutional. Of course that’s not the end of things and it may wend its way to the supreme court. I think the judge is taking such a long time because he is trying to craft a decision that will not require SCOTUS review.

I don’t understand why same-sex marriage would be taught in school? That is just some crap someone came up with to scare people into voting for prop 8.

@omgisawboobies69 That’s a different kind of private. The private that I described is the difference between an organization that is own by the government, which is “public” and an org that is owned by someone that is not the government, which is “private”.

Whoopi’s part at the end is accurate. Sherrie seems really nice, but she’s mistaken. No church would be forced to marry gays or lose their tax exempt status or have their pastors go to jail. They are private organizations, and they have ALWAYS been able to decide WHO they want to marry or NOT marry. And what they preach about gays, however wrong it may be, is protected by free speech.
