This short film was created as part of the Raising 100000 Voices community-based media education project. For more information, visit wxxi.org I am a 19-year-old aspiring photographer who’s in foster care. I want to create visual work that informs what people do. My video is about raising awareness about adolescents aging out of foster care. Thanks to Todd Ranous and all the participants in my video.

A segment from the Maryland Public Television documentary, Foster Care Stories. In this clip a former foster child talks about her experiences in the system and how they’ve helped shape the successful woman she’s become today.

Very nice video. The young lady in the video is well spoken and is a postive influence on her community at this point in her life. I commend her for all of her efforts and for finally having trust and faith in the person (her foster mother) who guided her down the path. Well done! More people should view these types of videos
